Performances:

    Brittany N. Gómez is a choreographer and dance professor at Grossmont College. She studied under Gelsey Kirkland and later under José Manuel Carreño at Ballet San Jose School on scholarship before joining the affiliated company in 2014. During her training, she was accepted into summer intensives and programs at San Francisco Ballet, Miami City Ballet, and ABT New York, to name a few. Before starting her professional career, Ms. Gómez was named a YoungArts Merit Award recipient in 2015. After retiring from her professional career with Silicon Valley Ballet, Brittany returned to school and earned her B.A. in Dance from UCLA and then went on to receive her M.F.A. in Dance from UC Irvine. She has a certification for Levels Primary-3 from the ABT National Training Curriculum. Her choreography has been featured in shows and galas such as the American College Dance Association’s Baja Region gala performance in 2020 and the San Pedro Festival of the Arts in 2021. Her former students have gone on to study at schools such as SFB, SAB, Royal Ballet School, and PNB, and have been accepted in the YAGP finals in New York.
